EMILY
LODINE, Mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Emily Lodine has sung with the orchestras of Rochester, Phoenix, Omaha, Indianapolis, Toledo and Jacksonville, and on numerous occasions with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. A frequent soloist with Music of the Baroque, her recent appearances have included Vivaldi's Gloria, Monteverdi's Vespers of the Blessed Virgin and Bach's Mass in B Minor. Operatic performances include Handel's Semele and Rossini's LaCenerentola with Berkshire Opera, Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance with the Grant Park Music Festival and Puccini's Madama Butterfly with Anchorage Opera, where she will return to sing the roles of both Juno and Ino in Semele in 2000. This season's engagements include Bach's St. John Passion with the New Oratorio Singers, concerts with the South Dakota Symphony, La Cenerentola with Opera Roanoke, and Messiah with the Milwaukee Symphony.
